Cosmetic dentistryWhite fillings, porcelain veneers and crowns, teeth whitening.
A healthy smile can also be a beautiful one. Cosmetic dentistry today offers gentle, minimally invasive solutions that last for many years with good care. These include teeth whitening, white composite fillings, and all-ceramic veneers and crowns; healthy gums and professional dental hygiene are always the foundation.
Before treatment we talk through your wishes, the options and any limitations, so that the result looks natural and lasts.
Root canal treatmentRoot canal treatment, including microscope-assisted treatment.
The inside of the tooth is filled with the dental pulp (often called the “nerve”) – soft tissue with blood vessels and nerve endings that let the tooth sense heat, cold and pain. If decay or an injury reaches the pulp, it becomes inflamed (pulpitis). This often causes severe, shooting pain, especially with hot drinks or at night. Without treatment the pulp dies and the infection spreads through the root canals into the bone around the root.
Treatment: under local anaesthetic and with a rubber dam (a thin protective sheet) we remove the infected tissue from the canals. We shape the canals with special instruments and rinse them thoroughly with disinfecting solutions, activated by ultrasound. We also carry out treatment under the microscope. The cleaned canals are sealed with gutta-percha and a root canal sealer.
A root-filled tooth is weaker, so – especially at the back of the mouth – we recommend protecting it with an onlay or a crown. That way the tooth can serve you for many more years.
Treatment under the microscopePrecise root canal treatment and tooth-conserving work.

A dental microscope magnifies the treatment area up to about 20 times and lights it brightly, so the dentist can see details that are invisible to the naked eye.
It is most valuable in root canal treatment: it helps to find hidden and narrow canals, clean them thoroughly and, in re-treatment, remove an old root filling. We also use the microscope to look for cracks and for precise fillings, as it lets us remove only the damaged part of the tooth and keep healthy tissue.
We can record the microscope image and show you what we found in your tooth.
Gum disease treatmentTreatment of bleeding gums and loose teeth.
Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation of the tissues that hold the tooth in place – the gums, ligaments and bone. It is triggered by bacterial plaque (biofilm) on the teeth and below the gumline; tartar gives it an ideal environment. The risk is increased mainly by smoking, diabetes and genetic predisposition.
It starts with inflamed gums that bleed when you brush. Later, gum pockets form, bone is lost, teeth start to loosen and may fall out. The disease usually develops over years and is almost painless – which is why early diagnosis matters.
Gum disease can be stopped and kept under control: by thorough cleaning of the root surfaces, regular hygiene appointments and good care at home. If your gums bleed, you notice bad breath or a tooth feels loose, book an appointment.
FillingsTreatment of tooth decay and fillings for children and adults.
Tooth decay is one of the most common diseases in the world. Bacteria in plaque turn sugars from food and drink into acids that dissolve minerals from the tooth surface. Frequent sugar intake and poor oral hygiene lead to decay, which gradually spreads deeper.
Decay that is only in the enamel can often be stopped with better hygiene and fluoride products. Once it reaches the dentine, we remove the damaged part of the tooth and restore it with a white (composite) filling. Regular check-ups help detect decay early, when treatment can be kept to a minimum.
Oral surgeryGentle extractions, wisdom teeth and implants.
If a tooth cannot be saved, we recommend removing it (extraction). Thanks to modern local anaesthetics the procedure is almost painless – you only feel pressure. We remove the tooth as gently as possible so that the wound heals well.
Slight bleeding in the first few hours and tenderness for a few days are normal. The gum heals in about 2–3 weeks; the bone fills in over several months. An untreated infected tooth can cause swelling, an abscess and other complications. For advice on what to do after an extraction, see the Toothache? section.
Laser treatmentFaster healing of mouth ulcers and cold sores with a diode laser.
A mouth ulcer or cold sore (herpes) often appears at the worst possible moment. Treatment with the Fona diode laser shortens the painful phase and speeds up healing. It takes a few minutes, is painless and needs no anaesthetic – many patients feel relief straight after treatment.
Results are best if you come in as soon as possible after the first symptoms appear.
Crowns & denturesCrowns, bridges and dentures, including BPS.
The first step is a thorough examination. Based on the condition of your teeth and your wishes, we design a tailor-made solution, made in cooperation with the Búš-dent dental laboratory to be both functional and natural-looking. You get back your smile and the enjoyment of eating.
Fixed restorations
DENTAL VENEERS
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that cover the front surface of the tooth. Only minimal preparation of the tooth is needed, making them one of the most conservative ways to improve your smile.
DENTAL CROWNS
Crowns cover the whole tooth, restore its shape, colour and function and protect it from further damage. We most often make all-ceramic crowns (zirconia or lithium disilicate), which look natural. Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns are also available.
DENTAL BRIDGES
Bridges replace one or more missing teeth. The bridge is fixed to crowns on the neighbouring teeth, and a false tooth (pontic) fills the gap.
Dentures
PARTIAL REMOVABLE DENTURES
If several teeth are missing, the remaining teeth support the denture. It is held in place with metal clasps or discreet precision attachments.
COMPLETE DENTURES
If all the teeth in a jaw are missing, we make a complete denture that is held in place by suction against the gums. As a certified practice we also offer BPS dentures, which fit more precisely and are more comfortable.
Digital dentistry3D scanning instead of impression putty, digital X-rays.

For crowns, bridges and veneers you no longer need uncomfortable impressions with putty in your mouth. We scan your teeth with an intraoral 3D scanner – a small camera we move along your teeth. You see a 3D model of your teeth on the screen straight away, and we can go through it together.
We send the digital impression directly to the dental laboratory, where the restoration is designed and made precisely from it. Scanning is quick and comfortable, even for patients with a strong gag reflex.
We take intraoral X-rays digitally – they are available immediately and need a lower radiation dose than traditional film.
Dental hygiene and teeth whiteningProfessional cleaning, whitening in the surgery and at home.
The basis of healthy teeth and gums is a regular professional hygiene appointment: removing tartar and plaque, polishing the teeth and practising the right brushing technique for home. How often you need it depends on you – for most patients we recommend every six months, more often if you have gum disease.
Teeth naturally darken over time. If you are not happy with their colour, whitening can help. In the surgery the result is visible after a single visit. For home whitening we make custom trays into which you apply the whitening gel, usually for 1–3 weeks, until you reach the shade you want.
Before whitening we examine your teeth and treat any decay. Whitening does not change the colour of fillings, crowns or veneers and may cause temporary sensitivity. Under EU rules we do not offer it to anyone under 18.
Treatment without pain or fear
Local anaesthetic
Our aim is to keep any discomfort during treatment to a minimum. All invasive procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic. The injection should be the last thing you feel during treatment.
Entonox (gas and air)
If visiting the dentist is very stressful for you, we recommend treatment with Entonox (gas and air). After a few minutes of breathing it, anxiety can ease considerably and you may feel pleasantly relaxed, while remaining fully conscious. This can make the visit much more pleasant. The effect varies from person to person.
General anaesthetic
If treatment is not possible in the usual way, we offer dental treatment under general anaesthetic directly at our practice. The anaesthetic is given by an experienced anaesthetist, who watches over the patient throughout. The patient sleeps during treatment and feels nothing, so we can often complete several treatments in one visit. We recommend treatment under general anaesthetic especially for children who need extensive treatment or cannot cooperate, adults with severe dental anxiety, patients with special needs (e.g. autism, disability) and for more extensive surgery such as wisdom tooth removal or implant placement. We will be happy to explain the details at a consultation.

Dentures that stay in place and look natural
We are a certified practice for Ivoclar's BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) and work with a certified dental laboratory. BPS is a precisely defined process for making complete dentures: the denture is made from individual impressions and an accurate record of your bite and jaw movements. The result is a denture that fits securely, is comfortable to wear, lets you chew and speak naturally, and looks natural. We use high-quality materials and Ivoclar denture teeth.

I have been coming to this dental practice for a long time and I am always very satisfied. Going to the dentist always used to frighten me. I had a bad experience and since then I had avoided the dentist’s chair as much as I could. …

Here even the biggest fear of dentists disappears. I had a filling replaced by Dr Domsitz and the result is amazing – nothing like my previous experiences. …

We give a 5-year guarantee on crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays and onlays, implants and fillings made at our practice. The guarantee requires a check-up at our practice once a year, a hygiene appointment twice a year and careful oral hygiene at home. It does not cover temporary treatments and restorations, damage caused by accidents, changes caused by gum disease (periodontitis) or general illness, or work done on our restorations elsewhere.

Toothache?
- Call us as soon as possible on +421 919 189 988, or send us an e-mail or a message on Facebook or Instagram.
- For the pain you can take an over-the-counter painkiller, e.g. ibuprofen or paracetamol. Follow the dosage instructions in the package leaflet and do not exceed the maximum daily dose. If you have other medical conditions, take other medicines or are pregnant, ask a doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not take aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) for toothache – it increases bleeding. If you take it regularly on a doctor’s advice, do not stop, but let us know.
- Never put a tablet directly on the tooth or gum – it can burn the gum. Home remedies (garlic, alcohol, propolis) don’t help either and only irritate the gum.
- Avoid very cold, hot and sweet food and drinks, and don’t chew on the painful side.
- If there is swelling, hold a cold compress wrapped in a tea towel against the outside of your cheek. Never apply heat to swelling.
- Don’t take antibiotics without a prescription – they won’t cure toothache on their own; the tooth needs treatment.
- Sensitivity to cold or sweet things is not an emergency, but have it checked as soon as possible.
Go to an emergency dentist immediately or call 155 (or 112) if swelling spreads quickly towards the eye or neck, you have difficulty opening your mouth, swallowing or breathing, or you have a high temperature.
What to do after a tooth extraction
- Gauze
- Bite firmly on the gauze for about 30 minutes. Slightly blood-stained saliva is normal on the first day. If the wound bleeds, place a new sterile gauze and bite down for another 30 minutes.
- Rinsing
- Do not rinse your mouth for the first 24 hours so that the blood clot needed for healing is not washed away. From the second day you can rinse gently with lukewarm salt water after meals.
- Oral hygiene
- Brush your teeth as usual, carefully around the wound. Do not touch the wound with your tongue or fingers.
- Smoking and alcohol
- Do not smoke for at least 48–72 hours (it increases the risk of a painful “dry socket”). Avoid alcohol for 2–3 days, especially if you are taking painkillers or antibiotics.
- Food
- Do not eat until the numbness wears off – you could bite yourself. Then eat soft, lukewarm food on the other side of your mouth. On the first day avoid hot food and drinks and do not drink through a straw.
- Cold compresses
- On the day of the extraction, apply a cold compress to your cheek (e.g. ice wrapped in a towel) for 15–20 minutes at a time, with breaks.
- Rest and head position
- Avoid physical exertion and sport on the day of the procedure. Sleep with your head raised on a pillow.
- Pain and swelling
- Swelling is usually greatest on day 2–3 and then goes down. For pain, take the medicine your dentist recommended, e.g. ibuprofen or paracetamol. Do not take aspirin. If you were prescribed antibiotics, finish the whole course.
- When to contact us
- If the wound still bleeds heavily after 30 minutes of pressure with gauze, the pain gets worse after day 3, the swelling increases, you have a fever, or you notice an unpleasant smell or taste from the wound. If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, call 155.
